Founders First today announced a new partnership with the Marrickville based Sauce Brewing Co.
The partnership will see Founders First join forces with Sauce, and its founder Mike Clarke, to establish a brewpub in Cairns far north Queensland. The seven day a week venue, will include on onsite brewhouse that will produce the popular range of Sauce beers, along with a range of local specials that will be unique to that venue.
Under the agreement, Founders First’s Sales Collective will represent the Sauce brand for national sales, adding the popular Sydney based brand to the portfolio of independent brands that includes Jetty Road from Mornington Peninsula and Foghorn from Newcastle.
Founders First CEO, Mark Haysman, said he was excited to add the Sauce partnership to Founders First’s growing portfolio.
“Sauce has built a strong following in Sydney’s inner west, where the brewhouse and packaged products were proving very popular with customers in one of the country’s most vibrant craft beer regions”, Mark said.
“This partnership will see the brewpub model taken to Australia’s northern market, and the Sales Collective will take on the existing Sauce sales team.
“Sauce is a brand that exudes authenticity, and the beers have won a number of national awards. We are confident sales will grow as we take it to a much bigger audience of potential customers.”
Coming on the back of the company’s second oversubscribed capital raising for 2019, this latest announcement continued the strong momentum as Founders First heads towards a prospective IPO.
