Founders First partners with fast moving Brisbane craft brewery

Founders First today announced a partnership with Brisbane craft brewery Slipstream.

Slipstream currently operates its brewery in the inner Brisbane suburb of Yeerongpilly, on the same site as its brewpub, and distributes its products in Queensland.

Founders First CEO, Mark Haysman, said Slipstream was an exciting brand which drew strong inspiration from the more mature US craft beer scene.

“Slipstream is a brand which is clearly influenced by developments in the modern home of craft beer in America. That is clear in the beers the company produces and through the vision articulated by its founders Deale and Elisa Stanley-Hunt,” he said.

“Deale, Elisa and head brewer Ian Watson have a done a great job since 2017 in developing a distinctive range of beers, a fantastic brewpub and a modern scalable brewery.”

Founders First’s Indie Craft Collective will help expand distribution of Slipstream’s core range of five beers, available in both cans and kegs.

“Slipstream and its products have created a buzz in the craft scene, and we see huge potential in taking this innovative and independent brand to bigger audience of customers,” he said.

The Founders First investment will allow Slipstream to expand its brewpub, with approved plans to expand the venue to 300 seats, and also expand brewery capacity in the future.

These improvements to Slipstream’s Yeerongpilly site will also enable the expansion of the production and storage facilities, which could potentially be used by other Founders First partners who are seeking more efficient access to northern markets.
